Role Overview

They are seeking a talented Linux Platform Engineer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of experience in Linux support and administration, working with Linux infrastructure. The Linux Platform Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimising Linux-based systems, ensuring their stability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and availability of our systems.
• Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of our Linux infrastructure with other technologies and services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with our cloud team to optimize our systems for AWS environments.
• Provide support and guidance to other team members on Linux-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Linux administration and cloud computing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2 - 5 years of experience in Linux support and administration.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and their components.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Perl.
• Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
